How to calibrate the Regula document reader

How to Calibrate the Regula Device

Summary

Calibration ensures accurate color reproduction, compensates for geometric distortions, and corrects uneven document lighting. Devices are pre-calibrated during production but may require recalibration in specific cases.

Requirements

  • Two printed test objects (included in the device package).
  • Write permissions for the folder C:\Users\%USER%\AppData\Local\Regula\.
  • Document Reader application installed.

Steps

1. Preparation of Test Objects

  1. Print the test object #1.pdf file from the Document Reader SDK documentation folder (default path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Regula\Document Reader SDK\Doc). Disable document scaling in print settings.
