How to Calibrate the Regula Device
Summary
Calibration ensures accurate color reproduction, compensates for geometric distortions, and corrects uneven document lighting. Devices are pre-calibrated during production but may require recalibration in specific cases.
Requirements
- Two printed test objects (included in the device package).
- Write permissions for the folder C:\Users\%USER%\AppData\Local\Regula\.
- Document Reader application installed.
Steps
1. Preparation of Test Objects
- Print the test object #1.pdf file from the Document Reader SDK documentation folder (default path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Regula\Document Reader SDK\Doc). Disable document scaling in print settings.
- Cut out the test object along the outer lines.
- Repeat the process for test object #2.pdf.
