Regula Licensing Application

The Regula Licensing application allows to install and update the Regula software license, automating the provision of system and user equipment information.

Installation

Run the «Regula Downloads Manager» application, select the Regula Licensing application on the Other Products, and start the download by clicking the Download or the Download and Run button.

Install License

This option allows to install the license file:

• Click the Install License button

• Specify the path to your license file and make sure it's named as regula.license
• Click the OK button
• Wait for the message Installation completed successfully

You can also install the license by dragging the license file to the Regula Licensing application window.

Manual update

This option is necessary for updating the licensing data of Regula devices. To perform this action correctly, you will need to take the following steps:

• Connect the required devices
• Press the Manual update

• Specify the path to the file devices.dat You can download it here.
• Wait for the message Installation completed successfully

Send system info

This option is used to send a file with system information. This may be required when contacting our technical support service. To send the file automatically, do the following:

• Click the Send system info button

• In this field, type YOUR name and YOUR email

• Leave a comment if necessary
• Click the Send

Save system info

This option is used to create a local file with system information, which may be required when contacting our technical support service. You can include this file in your initial request. To generate the file, follow these steps:

• Click the Save system info button

• By default, the file will be saved to the desktop.

Send devices info

This option is used to create a local file with information about connected Regula devices, which may be required when contacting our technical support service. You can include this file in your initial request. To generate the file, follow these steps:

• Connect all necessary devices
• Press the Send devices info button

• In this field, type your name and email

• Leave a comment if necessary
• Click the Send

Save device info

This option is used to create a local file with information about connected Regula devices, which may be required when contacting our technical support service. You can include this file in your initial request. To generate the file, follow these steps:

• Connect the necessary devices
• Press the Save device info button

• By default, the file will be saved to the desktop.

Settings

To connect to a manually specified licensing server, please refer to the “Setting up a connection between the client PC and the local IRS server” section of this article for more detailed information.

• Click Settings
• Fill in the service URL

• Click the Test button to test the connection
• Click the OK button to save data
