Empty database value in Regula demo app

Sometimes you may encounter an issue with document type recognition while using Regula Document Reader demo application. Upon going to 'Help' ---> 'About' you may see empty brackets in place of a database version:




The reason for that might be one of the following:

  1. Load recognition engine is disabled in the app settings: 


    In Regulareader.ini file this setting will look like:
    LoadRecognitionEngine=1
    Important! The device must be disconnected within the app in order for this setting's change to take place.

  2. The database was not installed with the SDK package.

    For this scenario, please download and install the latest desktop database using Regula Downloads manager.
