Regula Face Recognition Service does not start

Issue

After installing Regula Face Recognition Service the service fails to start or stops immediately. Applications that rely on face recognition display an error and the recognition process is not performed.

Solution

  1. Check your license validity

    Open the Regula Licensing utility, select the connected device and make sure your license has not expired.

  2. Verify that Regula Face Recognition Service is installed

    Right‑click the Start button and choose Installed apps. Browse the list and locate Regula Face Recognition Service (CPU or GPU). If it is missing, install or reinstall the service from the distribution package.

  3. Make sure the service is running

    Press Win+R, type services.msc and press Enter. In the list of services find Regula Face Recognition Service and verify that its status is Running. If not, start or restart the service.

    If the service is configured correctly but still fails to start, increase the Timeout value to 15000 ms and try again.

Important

After changing any settings, restart Regula Face Recognition Service so that the new parameters take effect.
