Most devices are pre-calibrated at the factory and do not require calibration during their lifecycle. However, after updating the SDK, may be asked to perform device calibration. This guide explains how to perform calibration using calibration objects.
Requirements
- Device with the SDK installed.
- Calibration objects (included in the device accessory package or printable via PDF files).
- A printer for printing calibration objects (if necessary).
Steps to Perform Calibration
-
Locate Calibration Objects:
- Check if objects are included in the device packaging (supplied with the device).
- If unavailable, proceed to the next steps.
- Download or Print Calibration Objects:
-
Print Calibration Objects:
- Print at 100% scale (no resizing).
- PDF files are also available in the SDK installation folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Regula\Document Reader SDK\Doc\test object #1.pdf C:\Program Files (x86)\Regula\Document Reader SDK\Doc\test object #2.pdf
-
Complete Calibration:
-
Follow the instructions in this article.
-
Important!
Print calibration objects at 100% scale. Scaling may cause calibration failure.
Verification
Calibration is successful if the device displays a confirmation message or visual indicator. If issues persist:
- Verify print quality (no distortion).
- Ensure paper format compatibility (A4 or Letter).
