There are two ways to read RFID in the Regula mobile app: automated mode and manual mode. In manual mode, the user can change the required settings on their side (such as CAN reading, MRZ reading, choosing PACE or BAC, etc.), whereas in automated mode the app’s default settings are used.
For correct RFID chip reading in manual mode, the MRZ and CAN must be read without “/n” at the end of the line, whereas in automated mode these characters are removed by the app.
Also, when selecting a specific data group, you need to disable reading of the other two groups (for example, to read an ePassport you need to disable reading eID and eDL).
