Smart Card (contact chip) reader integration with the upper software

   As all contact smart cards are different there is no common standard for the data structure and its contents. For example, the contact chip of the Latvian ID card and the contact chip of the Oman ID card are two absolutely different cases. Each of them requires a different approach, documentation, SDK, and sometimes access codes from Latvian/Omani officials. Simply put, the developers of the upper SW have to address this question to the authority that creates documents with contact chips that are to be processed.  As for the Regula readers (for example, 7034 model), they only provide physical access to contact smart cards through a standard smart-card reader.

Also, be careful as there may be 2 smart-card readers (just as in 7034): RFID & contact. So your software has to be ready for such a case. Basically, the process is just the same as integrating any other smart card reader.
