CPU doesn't support image x86_64-v2 error using Proxmox

Issue:

When running CentOS/Rocky/AmazonLinux on a Proxmox virtual environment, the error CPU doesn't support image x86_64-v2 occurs.

Solution:

To solve this, follow these steps:

    1. Open the Proxmox Virtual Environment. Log into your Proxmox account and navigate to the Datacenter section.

    2. Go to the settings of the virtual machine. Find and select your virtual machine from the list on the left. Navigate to the Hardware tab.

    3. Check the processor settings. Find the Processors section and make sure that host is specified in the field Type.

    4. If another type of processor is specified, change it to host, by double-clicking on the Processors line and selecting host from the list under the Type setting.
    5. Save the changes. Click OK to save the changes and close the settings window.

    6. Restart the VM. Return to the virtual machine overview and press Start to restart.
