Issue:
An iOS app that does not use NFC may be rejected during App Store review. This may occur even after references to NFC tags have been removed and the Core has been built without RFID support.
Document Reader SDK includes Apple's Core NFC framework. Apple may detect NFC-related functionality in SDK dependencies even when the app does not use it.
Solution:
If your app does not use NFC, follow these steps to clarify this to the App Review team:
- Check that there are no NFC-related keys in
Info.plistand that NFC capabilities are not enabled for the app. - Record a video showing how the app works, including scanning a passport, to demonstrate that the scanning process does not use NFC. You can provide this video to App Review as supporting evidence.
- Add a written explanation to the App Review Information section of your App Store Connect submission, clearly stating that the app does not use the SDK's NFC functionality.
