Portrait comparison feature not working (The service does not respond)

Sometimes, when performing portrait comparison via Regula Document Reader desktop application, you may notice the following message:


First, check if the local RegulaFaceRecognitionService is up and running in Windows Services. If the service is running, please go to  Document Reader Demo settings and check if local is selected in Face API type block. If, despite everything, the error message is still there, then the issue is most probably caused by the low-end CPUs performance, that is not enough to process Face service request before the service times out. To fix this, please set a longer timeout value in Document Reader Demo settings as shown below:
